Beverley Blount's Backyard - 2016

Beverley Blount took a photograph of her backyard -- foreground is the Franklin Mountains. I built my Montessori schools from 2 students to over 200. Did Montessori Teacher training for 27 years. Went 6 times to Mexican National Show Jumping Finals. Have written 8 bilingual adventure stories for YA and one volume on teaching reading. Now am working on 3 Science Fiction stories taking place 100 years from now in a very strange future. Am living part time in El Paso Texas and part time in Mexico City. My Book: The Blount Guide to Reading, Spelling and Pronouncing English was published this past December. It is selling very well. You can review it on B&N, Amazon, Kindle (where they have several free pages), and on my own web page: www.paloalto-bilingual-books.com It took many years of working with bilingual children in my Montessori schools in Mexico City to finish. It works very well with ESL learners. The children that used it from kinder to 6th grade read and pronounce English very well and have a high level of reading comprehension. After giving workshops using my book I have spent hours with the publishers re-writing the entire book to make it more user-friendly for non-native English Speakers. I also added several pages to help English-speakers pronounce Spanish characters. Am giving consultations here in El Paso, Texas. This September's Montessori Foundation journals, Tomorrow's Child and Montessori Leadership, both published my article on HANDS. November 14, 2014: Book signing at Barnes and Noble, El Paso, Texas. Enjoyed it thoroughly and all the teachers that stopped by wanted my reading book for their schools. (I could only sell the book B&N ordered and The Blount Guide is not on the returnability list yet.)
