Astronaut Scott Carpenter Visits Insights Museum

Astronaut Scott Carpenter visits the Insights Museum, a JLEP sponsored interactive learning experience in downtown El Paso, Texas. It was founded in 1980 to give students an opportunity to study science using a hands-on approach. The museum closed in 2013 to allow for the construction of the Southwest University Ballpark. Insights Museum was demolished.

Summer Scholarship Program at UTEP - El Paso, Texas

JLEP members Laura Borsch, Penny Snodgrass and student, David Mendoza at the Summer Scholarship Program at UTEP. This JLEP sponsored event allowed gifted high school students to explore a variety of topics while working at the beautiful UTEP campus.
