Muchacho con la Bota

El Muchacho con la Bota Agujerada es una estatua que muestra a un muchacho joven, con un pie derecho descalzo, sosteniendo su bota derecha y mirándola. La estatua es aproximadamente de 4 pies (1.2 m) de altura, y en muchos casos forma una fuente con agua emergiendo de la punta de su bota. Los orígenes de la estatua son oscuros. El chico se divulga de ser un vendedor joven italiano vendedor de periódico que se ahogó, o un chico del redoblante del Ejército Americano que cargaba agua en su bota agujerada para ayudar a compañeros caídos o un joven bombero que tal vez utilizara su bota como una cubeta o vaciando su bota después de un incidente o posiblemente ninguno de estos. Una estatua estuvo en el City Hall Park, El Paso, Texas durante un periodo 50 años antes de ser trasladada a La Plaza de San Jacinto en 1950. Allí fue protegida por un foso que contenía caimanes. En 1995 se encontraba en El Paso City Hall. El chico ahora se ubica dentro del Museo de Historia de El Paso.
