El famoso actor Gilbert Roland nacio como Luis Antonio Damasco de Alonso en Ciudad Juárez, México. El y su familia se movieron a El Paso cuando la revolución mexicano empezó Mientras que vivía en El Paso, él se enamoró de las películas y deseaba a ser un actor de cinema. Él era el Gran Mariscal del Sun Bowl Parade en 1965.
