La notación de la tarjeta dice: "Pioneer Plaza (Little Plaza) looking toward San Jacinto Plaza, El Paso, Texas 2315" ("Pioneer Plaza (Placita) mirando hacia San Jacinto Plaza, El Paso, Texas 2315"). En consecuencia, la imagen muestra la Plaza Pioneer mirando hacia la Plaza San Jacinto (los árboles verdes). Pioneer Plaza era el centro de la actividad pública en El Paso; aquí, la gente se reunió, noticias fueron difundidas y carreteras principales y senderos. Debido a su tamaño, el Pionero Plaza fue sustituido por el más grande San Jacinto Plaza como el centro de las actividades de la comunidad más adelante. En el centro a la derecha se puede ver el Hotel Cortez (marrón), y en el Hotel Hilton de la parte delantera (edificio rojo). Edificio Los Molinos se encuentra a la izquierda de la Plaza San Jacinto (centro izquierda). El edificio blanco junto a ella, se encuentra la Casa Blanca Departamento Store (izquierda). Todos estos edificios fueron diseñados por el famoso arquitecto Henry C. Trost entre 1911 y 1930. En función del tipo de coches se tomó la fotografía en 1950.
