Hotel Hilton 1941

Esta postal muestra el hotel Hilton en 1941. En la parte frontal que dice: "2245 Hilton Hotel, El Paso, Texas. A 20 story structure. Modern in every respect." ("2245 Hotel Hilton, El Paso, Texas. 20 Estructura de la historia. Moderno en todos los sentidos.") Fue enviado el 15 de abril, 1941. El edificio fue diseñado por el famoso arquitecto Henry C. Trost y abrió en 1930. Se trata de un famoso ejemplo del estilo Art Deco muy popular en la década de 1920. Los diecisiete historia estructura semi-modernista combinado con diseños Indios. La torre fue cubierto con baldosas terracota verde. Las zonas del interior, decorado con lujo y las habitaciones reflejan el estado del arte, con alumbrado eléctrico, ventiladores de techo, radio y baño privado. Se desempeñó como uno de El Paso de los más lujosos hoteles; incluso Elizabeth Taylor vivió un breve aquí en 1950/51. En 1963, el Hotel Hilton empresa vendió el edificio. Se re-denominada Plaza Hotel y funcionó hasta 1991. En la parte delantera del hotel, la Plaza San Jacinto y el tranvía puede ser visto.
