Capitan John Hughes - Texas Ranger

John Reynolds Hughes ( 11 febrero 1855 hasta 3 junio 1947 ) fue un Ranger de Texas y un vaquero del viejo oeste , y más tarde un autor. Se ha sugerido que fue la inspiración para el personaje Llanero Solitario ya Zane Grey dedicó su más famoso libro "The Lone Star Ranger" de Hughes en 1915. La emboscada de Texas Ranger capitán Frank Jones y Hughes larga búsqueda de los asesinos también de apoyo esta teoría. Hughes también dijo a los familiares que él creía que era la inspiración para el personaje Lone Ranger. Sirvió principalmente a lo largo de la frontera entre Texas y México .
