EPMA ha estado celebrando el Día de los Muertos durante dos años consecutivos. Todas las familias son invitadas a disfrutar de presentaciones de música en vivo, talleres de arte gratuitos, comida de negocios locales, entre otras actividades divertidas. Lo más destacado del Día de los Muertos del 2019 fue el Desfile Alebrijes, donde el museo presentó cuatro alebrijes personalizados patrocinados por la Fundación del Museo de Arte de El Paso. Los alebrijes fueron creados por un colectivo de artistas de la Ciudad de México, Colectivo Ultima Hora, cuyo arte apareció en la película de James Bond, Spectre. Los alebrijes son esculturas de arte popular de animales míticos o fantásticos.
