En Mayo del 2018, el Museo de Arte de El Paso trabajó con la Fundación Samuel H. Kress para renovar y reinterpretar la colección de arte Europeo del museo. La Dra. Elizabeth Dwyer, Interpretadora de la colección Kress, investigó la colección y fue instrumental en la curaduría de la Galería Kress. La Colección Kress fue un regalo hecho a la Ciudad de El Paso por la Fundación Kress, en 1959 sirvió como la colección fundadora del Museo de Arte de El Paso. Entre algunos artistas famosos de la colección incluye: Botticelli, Canaletto, Van Dyck, Zurbarán y Artemisia Gentileschi, entre otros maestros Góticos, Barrocos y Renacentistas.
