Juez Gaylord Clarke
Estudió derecho y fue admitido a la barra el 19 de Julio de 1869. En Julio de 1870 , el Gobernador Edmund J. Davis lo designó , como republicano , el juez del 25º Distrito Judicial de Texas. Él fue asesinado a tiros en la calle por el abogado Benjamin F. Williams después de un tiroteo entre Williams y Albert Fuente Jennings en salón de Ben Dowell en El Paso.
