Esta imagen de la Plaza Teatro fue adoptado en 1985, un año antes de que se suponía iba a ser demolida. Por suerte, se ha salvado por las campañas de recaudación organizado por la comunidad de El Paso. Desde entonces, se ha renovado y alberga espectáculos y conciertos. La Plaza ha perdido parte de su esplendor original. Mobiliario y obras de arte se han retirado, la fachada ha sido alterada, y partes de su una vez avanzados sistemas eléctricos ya no son funcionales, sin embargo, la estructura interior aparece como lo ha hecho por cerca de setenta años.
