Capitan John Hughes - Guardabosques de Texas - El Paso, Texas

En 1886 varios caballos suyos y de ranchos vecinos fueron robados. Hughes rastreó a los ladrones por varios meses, matando a unos de ellos y capturando al resto. Regreso los caballos robados a sus legítimos dueños. Con esta hazaña alcanzó gran notoriedad tanto de los prófugos de la ley como de los guardabosques de Texas.
