Leo Cancellare - El Paso, Tejas
Leo Cancellare (1958-1999) Leo Cancellare se graduo de la escuala preparatoria Irving H.S. y la Universidad de Tejas en El Paso. Fue entrenador de El Paso Aqua Posse de 1979 a 1999. Cancellare ayudo entrenar al equipo de natación de Catedral H.S. Durante se carrera fue, de una a otra forma responsable de lograr setenta y nueve “All-Americans,” y cinco miembros del equipo olímpico de natación norteamericano. En el año 1994 Leo Cancellare se convirtió como el primer director de Cathedral H.S. trayendo una gran personalidad y energía; estableciendo la costumbre de saludar, cada mañana a todos los alumnos en la puerta principal. Durante su administración se añadieron una nueva ala de aulas y un gimnasio a la escuela. Igual como los Lasallistas, leo cria fielmente que su trabajo era una verdadera vocación religiosa; el solía decir “esta escuela es la Iglesia.” Leo Cancellare murió a los cuarenta y un años de edad.
