Clase de Tai Chi en el Museo de Historia de El Paso. Tai chi es una antigua tradición china que, hoy en día, se practica como una forma elegante de ejercicio. Se trata de una serie de movimientos realizados de una manera lenta, enfocada y acompañada de respiración profunda. Tai chi, también llamado tai chi chuan, es un sistema no competitivo, a su propio ritmo de suave ejercicio físico y estiramiento. Cada postura fluye hacia el siguiente sin pausa, asegurando que su cuerpo esté en constante movimiento. Tai Chi tiene muchos estilos diferentes. Cada estilo puede enfatizar sutilmente diversos principios y métodos del tai chi. Hay variaciones dentro de cada estilo. Algunos estilos pueden centrarse en el mantenimiento de la salud, mientras que otros se centran en el aspecto de las artes marciales del tai chi. Tai chi es diferente de yoga, otro tipo de movimiento meditativo.
