Escuela secundaria Socorro
La escuela secundaria, fue inaugurada en el otoño de 1965 con A. D. Weir siendo nombrado como el primer director de SHS. El azul columbia, rojo y blanco fueron elegidos como los colores oficiales de la escuela y el bulldog fue adoptado como la mascota de la escuela. Una familia que vivía en la zona donó su bulldog "Homer" a la escuela para ser utilizado en funciones especiales.
