Location is the northwest corner of Cotton St. and Magoffin Ave. Cornerstone laid 16 June 1938 by Catholic bishop, Rev. Anthony J. Schuler. At times, visitors are allowed to go inside the church through the west door but no one is allowed to tour monastery itself. Please be respectful.
On April 8, 1928, Bishop Schuler gate the title of Santuario de Cristo Rey to the Perpetual Adoration Chapel, located at Magoffin Ave. and Cotton Street,, thus canonically establishing the sanctuary. Centennial History of Diocese of El Paso by Janine Young. p. 44
