El Consulado General de México en El Paso y el Centro Cultural Mexicano Paso del Norte presentó la exhibición fotográfica “Urban Borders”, de Alejandro Briseño, del 6 al 29 de abril de 2016. “Urban Borders” En esta secuencia fotográfica el autor presenta su visión de la región “Paso del Norte”, una frontera permeable donde los encuentros de quienes la habitan, tanto en México como en Estados Unidos, transcurren diariamente creando una dinámica binacional sostenida por un inalterable lazo fraternal que no tiene precedente histórico similar en ninguna otra realidad geográfica en el mundo. A través de 27 piezas, “Urban Borders” se adueña de lugares emblemáticos de la región, tomándolos como escenario para narrar gráficamente el actuar más espontaneo de la vida cotidiana. Impregnándolos de un profundo uso del color y la textura característicos de la técnica empleada, Briseño inmortaliza a sus habitantes en iconografías de la hibridación cultural fronteriza que reclama ser distinguida por sus singularidades binacionales.
