Merrick Building y Camino Real

La foto fue tomada en El Paso Calle, mostrando el Merrick edificio, el antiguo Paso del Norte y el Camino Real torre adyacente. El Merrick edificio data de 1887. El diseño era típico de estilo Victoriano casas de ladrillo de la época. Charles Merrick que fue un famoso sastre en casa y El Paso dirigido su negocio fuera de la primera planta del edificio. Durante la Revolución Mexicana, se ha convertido en uno de los principales traficantes de armas. En 1931 Hollywood café sustituyó a la armería. El Hotel St. Charles fue operado en las plantas 2ª y 3ª del edificio y cerrado en 1996. Hoy una tienda de venta al por menor funciona en el primer piso y las habitaciones del Hotel se han convertido en apartamentos. El Hotel Camino Real fue construido en 1912 por Henry C. Trost como el Paso del Norte. El elegante hotel se caracteriza por su cúpula de cristal Tiffany, y de acero, vidrio y terracota. La torre fue añadido más tarde.
