Camino Real Hotel con Lámpara
La imagen muestra parte de la vieja Hotel Paso del Norte, ahora el Camino Real. Diseñado por Henry C. Trost, inaugurado en 1912, el Hotel fue popular por su elegancia. Además, se convirtió en un punto de ganaderos, los rancheros, y especialmente para que los huéspedes puedan ver la Revolución Mexicana desde la azotea. El signo que está pegada a la lámpara es el "Golden Horseshoe District" ("Herradura Dorada Distrito"). Se refiere a una época en que la zona del centro estaba lleno de juegos de azar antros, salones y otras desviaciones y el delito y los tiroteos fueron una ocurrencia diaria. Hoy en día, este oeste salvaje pasado se conmemoró por las placas de la ciudad.
