Marlene Stewart, esposa del querido ex-dueño de El Paso Disposal J.O. Stewart, pensó que la basura no debe de ser fea. Pintaron una flor diferente en cada troca de basura que tenian. Cuando vendieron su empresa a Waste Connections en los años 90's, ellos seguiron esa tradicion pero con etiquetas en lugar de pinturas. La mayoria ya no tienen, pero de vez en cuando puede ver una troca que todavia tiene una flor.
