“Malagueño Varieté” de Rafael González

El Consulado General de México en El Paso y el Centro Cultural Mexicano Paso del Norte invitaron a la comunidad binacional de la región Paso del Norte a la función de danza aérea “Malagueño Varieté”. “Malagueño Varieté” Basado en la tradición mexicana del “Día de los Muertos”, “Malagueño Varieté” es una historia que se genera del recuerdo de una viuda al ver el retrato de su difunto esposo en un altar, llevándonos por un viaje a través de pinturas, música, trajes típicos, juegos, intérpretes y la época de oro del cine mexicano, reuniendo todos éstos elementos para ensamblar un cuento mágico hilado por La Catrina, quien siempre alegre se lleva las almas de todos aquellos difuntos que en estas fechas recordamos. El contrastante ambiente creado por ésta función, nos transportará por todas las sensaciones que encierra la inigualable personalidad mexicana: alegría, melancolía, amor, lamentaciones, felicidad y muerte, transmitidas por acróbatas y bailarines en telas, aros, trapecios, cadenas y danza, enmarcados con un repertorio musical de importantes representantes de la música vernácula contemporánea de México, como Chavela Vargas, Lila Downs y Ximena Sariñana, entre otros.
