Torre O. T. Bassett

La Torre O. T. Bassett es un rascacielos Art Decó ubicado en el 303 de Texas Avenue en el centro de El Paso. Fue construido por Charles N. Bassett, quien le dio el nombre en honor a su padre. El diseño de la torre estuvo a cargo de Trost & Trost y se completó en 1930, convirtiéndose en uno de los últimos encargos de Henry Trost. En pocas palabras, fue el edificio más alto en la ciudad, aunque más tarde ese mismo año sería superado por el Hotel Hilton. La Torre Bassett mide 196 pies (60 m) de altura, tiene 15 pisos y presenta retranqueos en el décimo y treceavo piso. Su fachada consiste en un revestimiento de ladrillo rojo oscuro y ornamentos a partir de elementos decorativos de piedra y terracota, incluyendo una fachada esculpida sobre la entrada principal, la cual se cree que es de Trost en persona. El edificio figura en el Registro Nacional de Lugares Históricos.
