Plaza Hotel y 1 Texas Tower - El Paso, Tejas
The Plaza Hotel was constructed on the site of the Sheldon Hotel, which burned down in 1929. Designed by Henry C. Trost, it was first called the Hilton Hotel and was one of the most luxurious hotels in town. In 1950/1951 Elizabeth Taylor briefly lived here. Later, it became the Plaza Hotel, which had to close its doors in 1991.
