St. Joseph's Hospital or Sanatorium - El Paso, Texas

High altitude, sunshine, and rest were the preferred treatment for tuberculosis in the 19th century. As soon as the railroad came to El Paso in 1881, tuberculosis patients arrived to improve their chances for survival. Also, where many undocumented women gave birth.
