Posteriormente Obregón se unió a Carranza contra Villa y se convirtió en presidente de México en 1920. Los generales Obregón, Villa y Pershing posaron después de su reunión en Fort Bliss, Texas (también en la fotografía se encuentra el asistente de Pershing, el primer teniente George S. Patton, Jr.).
