Padre Carlos Pinto, fue el apóstol de El Paso. La pasión del padre Carlos fue servir a Dios. Su dicho mas memorable fue "El cielo no es un regalo que se deba aceptar, mas bien una ciudad llevada por tormenta." Desde 1892 a 1917 el padre Carlos Pinto, igual que los jesuitas, construyeron mas de trece iglesias. Ademas de las iglesias también construyeron siete escuelas.
