Las Wienerschnitzel Wiener Nacionales dieron inicio en Los Alamitos Race Course (Hipódromo Los Alamitos) en California del sur en 1995. La idea fue de divertirse con la comunidad Wienerschnitzel al hacer carreras de perros dachshund para encontrar el "Perro Wiener mas veloz del oeste". El primer evento fue tan divertido que decidimos hacer de ello un evento anual. A través de los años, el evento abarco otros mercados de perros Wienerschnitzel y los perros ganadores han aparecido en el Tonight Show y en la revista People Magazine. http://www.wienerschnitzel.com/community/wiener-nationals/about-wiener-nationals/
