El De Soto Hotel ha sido una constante en el centro de la escena de El Paso durante más de cien años. Establecida en 1905, la mayoría de los residentes del hotel hoy en día son inquilinos mensuales. El hotel es una parada famosa por visitas de fantasmas. Regularmente, el personal, los residentes y los visitantes denuncian fantasmas que caminan por los pasillos.
