Las montañas Franklin son la cadena montañosa continua mas larga del estado de Texas, siendo North Franklin Peak la cima mas alta con 7,192 pies de altura, a 3,000 pies sobre la ciudad. En la falda este de la montaña North Franklin se encuentran los restos del a única mina, fundidora y fresadora de estaño de la nación, la cual estuvo activa entre los años 1910 a 1915.
