El edificio Kress se encuentra en la esquina de N. Oregon y Mills Ave. Tal vez el centro de la construcción más inusual, esta antigua tienda de 5 y 10 centavos abrió sus puertas en 1938 y fue diseñado por el arquitecto Edward Sibbert (quien lo consideraba como su favorito en la cadena nacional). En ruinas y amenazado de quiebra, esta belleza una vez acumuló la mayor cifra anual de ventas de la cadena.
