Equipo de béisbol de El Paso y Charles F. Jones

Campeones de los Southwest-- sentado al centro esta el famoso, "Give A Damn" Jones. Charles F. Jones vivió en El Paso ya que la Ciudad de Paso era sólo una avanzada. Fue en la década de 1880 cuando Jones primero se abrió camino en los corazones de los ciudadanos de El Paso. Su apodo "Give A Damn", o mejor dicho, "no le importa un comino", fue adquirida hace muchos años, y se le quedo hasta su fallecimiento. Como gerente de béisbol, Jones fue un gran éxito. Se interesa de alma y corazón, entendía el juego y era intensamente honesto y leal a El Paso. Alrededor de 1887, el equipo comenzó a jugar más fuera de la ciudad y a la vez muchos equipos de otras ciudades venían aquí. Jones fue gerente del equipo hasta alrededor de 1904, y todo durante su gestión el equipo de El Paso era conocido como el equipo más rápido en el suroeste.
