La postal muestra el antiguo Y.M.C.A. Building. Y.M.C.A. significa "Young Men’s Improvement Society". Esta sociedad se centra en el fortalecimiento de la comunidad a través de bienestar, campos, tiempo de la familia, nadar, los deportes y los juegos, y otras actividades para personas de todas las edades, ingresos y capacidades. La YMCA de El Paso se organizó 31 de enero 1886 por un puñado de hombres jóvenes que se reunieron en la Primera Iglesia Bautista. Estaba en una habitación vacía en la calle San Antonio y sus actividades consistió sobre todo en las reuniones de oración. Más tarde se trasladaron a la calle San Francisco y establecieron cuartos por encima de un establo. De 1909 a 1957, la sociedad se acomoda en este edificio en la esquina de las calles Oregon y Missouri.
