La imagen muestra la primera operación en el hospital "Hotel Dieu" en 1903. En 1892, la hermana Stella compró el lugar y con 60.000 dólares prestados por la Casa Madre, tres Hijas de la Caridad comenzaron a construir el Hôtel-Dieu en 1893. Fue el primer hospital general de El Paso. No había electricidad y la iluminación se hacía con gas. El calor era proporcionado por fuegos de leña. Necesitadas de un personal más capacitado, las Hermanas crearon también una escuela de enfermería vinculada al Hôtel-Dieu en 1898. En 1987, el hospital fue vendido a Millbrook, y el nombre se cambió a Landmark Medical Center. Un año más tarde, el hospital fue vendido de nuevo. Columbia compró el centro médico y lo cerró más tarde ese mismo año. El edificio fue demolido en 2003.
