En esta fotografía 1916, las calles del centro de El Paso están llenas de cientos de espectadores. Este tipo particular de desfile se conoce como un desfile de Preparación . Estos desfiles se celebraron antes de un país ir a la guerra o para recordar a los ciudadanos de un país que estaban en guerra y que deben estar preparados para lo peor , no para sentarse y esperar . Desfiles de preparación se llevaron a cabo en los Estados Unidos en la preparación para la entrada en la Primera Guerra Mundial
