Olga Kohlberg in a talk about history of schools in El Paso, TX that the first school was held in a tent on the block behind the Elk's home. Once a teacher relieved four of her pupils of a large Colt's revolver before the lessons began. El Paso Daily Herald, Nove 16, 1904
