Escuela Central en la ciudad El Paso
En 1884, fue construida en la esquina de la calle Myrtle y Campbell y se llamó Escuela Central. EPISD fue el hogar de la primera clase de jardín de niños público en Texas en 1893 en la Escuela Primaria Central. En 1885, se estableció la primera preparatoria y estaba en el segundo piso de ese mismo edificio. Las materias consideradas críticas, en ese momento, incluían matemáticas, gramática y, en la parte superior de la lista, caligrafía.
