El Paso Street 1910s
The picture shows El Paso Street in the 1910s. The high building to the right end of the street is the Mills building. The all-concrete building was completed in 1911. At the left end of the street the sign of the Herald, the daily newspaper, is visible. El Paso Street was the business center of the town; for example a furniture store, a hotel (both right) and The Hub Bar (left) can be found in the image. Wagons are parked along the road and the streetcar rails are visible. There are also people on bicycles.
