Exhibit Opening: Rediscovering the Art of Octavia Magoffin Glasgow
An El Paso born artist, Octavia was the last Magoffin family member to live in the Magoffin Home. As an art teacher at Bowie High School and a member of the thriving art scene in El Paso, Octavia was close friends with Leola Freeman and a teacher to Manuel Acosta, both gifted El Paso artists. She had an art studio in the historic Magoffin Home and created portraits, landscapes, and mixed media works.
