Young Man
Young Man
This young man was photographed in Memphis, Tennessee. On the back of the photograph is a three cent Internal Revenue Proprietary stamp. These stamps represent a Civil War era luxury tax used to pay for the War. Image Description: Sepia image shows a photograph taken of an unidentified man. The image appears small and centered on the brown paper. He wears a suit, with a vest, light-colored shirt, and a tie. The man looks young with no facial hair, a stern look on his face, and a clean hairstyle parted at the side, and neatly combed back where his sides barely cover his ears.
