JLEP -HeartCart 2020-2021 Project

The Heart Cart Committee created and designed a hospitality cart in collaboration with the Ronald McDonald House Charities that will be rounding the halls of The Hospitals of Providence Children’s Hospital. The cart is intended to be an extension of the current Family Room in the children’s hospital that was created as a signature JLEP project. The cart is stocked with a variety of snacks and activities for the children and parents. The cart is essential for parents that cannot leave their children’s side while they are undergoing lifesaving treatments. Unfortunately, because of the pandemic, the committee was unable to volunteer with the cart in person. Along with the unveiling of the new Heart Cart, the committee will provide all families being housed by the Ronald McDonald house with care packages. These care packages are meant to make their everyday lives just a bit easier by providing gas cards and Walmart gift cards along with clothing and basic necessities they may need while they are away from home receiving the best care for their children.
