Chalk the Block 2019 Best of Show Winner Andrea Torres
Local artist Andrea Torres works on her 10' X 5' chalk art design for the juried chalk art competition. Image Description: A female artist is laying face down on the concrete and supporting herself with her elbows as she draws using pastel chalk on the sidewalk. She has brown hair and is wearing a black shirt with blue long sleeves, grey pants and fushia pink tennis shoes. The woman occupies the upper center of the photograph and her design, of a young boy in a large sombrero like hat occupies the foreground of the photograph. The image of the young boy is being hand colored by the artist. The image is almost completely black with the boy's body yet to be filled in with color.
