Overview Shot of El Paso
Overview shot of El Paso Downtown area, facing east. On the right side of the picture the O.T. Bassett Tower can be seen. It was built in 1930 by the well-known architect Henry C. Trost, who designed many buildings in this district. The Tower is registered in the National Register of Historic Places, which highlights it's rich and detailed decor. It examplifies the architectural developments at that time. Until today it contributes significantly to the commercial cityscape of El Paso. In front of the Tower you can see two stores, the Rogers Furniture Co. and the American Furniture Co. The railroad system of the El Paso area is in the left half of the picture.
