Franklin B. Sexton

Franklin Barlow Sexton was born in New Harmony, Indiana on April 29, 1828. Barlow was a Confederate legislator. He served many roles and was elected to the Texas Senate. He moved in with his daughter after his wife’s death. In El Paso, he was appointed a judge on the state Supreme Court. He affiliated with El Paso Lodge # 130 A.F. & A.M. and El Paso Commandery No. 18. More notably, he became the Grand Commander of Knights Templar of Texas in 1870. He died in El Paso, Texas.
