Albert Jennings Fountain, Worshipful Master of El Paso Masonic Lodge # 130 A.F. & A.M. in 1870 & 1872. Born on Staten Island, New York. Fountain was an attorney and obtained his law degree in California. Fountain served on the Union side during the Civil War. His job brought him to New Mexico and afterward to El Paso. He was the 14th Lieutenant Governor of Texas and served in the Texas Senate. In the Texas Senate, he was responsible for sponsoring the bill that reestablished the Legendary Texas Rangers; post-Civil War. Many have speculated involving his death. His body has not been found. His hair is dark and combed to the side with a receding hairline.
