El Paso For Black Lives
El Paso for Black Lives March from Cleveland Square to San Jacinto Plaza June 10, 2020 Cleveland Square Image Description: In this color photograph, a protest is taking place. In the left-hand foreground of the photograph, there is a woman wearing a grey tank top that reads “the struggle is real” She is wearing a white protective mask, which she is holding with her right hand. In her left hand, she is holding a rectangular piece of cardboard above her head which reads “How Many Weren’t Filmed?” Directly behind the woman, there is a white protest banner that occupies around ¾ of the picture frame that has black lettered and red-lettered slogans. The top of the banner reads “El Paso Silence” the middle of the banner reads “=” and the bottom of the banner reads “El Paso Violence” The banner is held by three individuals whose top of their heads can be seen. Behind these individuals are additional protesters carrying various protest posters.
