JLEP Horses for Heroes Project
JLEP Horses for Heroes Project
In 2019-2020, the Junior League of El Paso partnered with Compadres Therapy, Inc. to provide equine assisted therapy (EAT) to support El Paso military and Veteran families. EAT offers a range of treatments and activities with horses that promote human physical and mental health. This program works to provide this therapy to families who are part of the Warrior Transition Unit, the Fort Bliss Exceptional Family Member Program and the Texas State Veterans Home to provide customized physical and mental health services.
