Plaza Theater at Night
This photograph shows the Plaza Theater at night. Throughout the 1930s and 1940s it was one of the most famous showplaces of the Southwest. Designed as a modern film house it presented stage shows, popular traveling shows and movies. By the early 1970s the Plaza was sold and much of its beautiful artwork auctioned off. However, it was saved from demolition and restored in the 2000s. Today, it hosts shows again. The interior structure appears as it has for close to seventy years.
