"Seasons of the Sun" - El Paso, Texas
This sculpture is made by the El Pasoan muralist Carlos Callejo and titled "Seasons of the Sun". It was created as part of the city's "Art and Sol Project". For this project over a dozen artists were selected to interpret a sculptural Sol (Sun) using their unique styles and creative approaches. From the fanciful to the culturally charged, from the abstract to the representational, the Art And Sol Project exemplifies the myriad of visions that make El Paso’s dialogue so compelling. This sculpture plays with the idea that the sun forms different landscapes. It depicts natives in a different scenery, for example in the jungle or in the desert.
