"Vaquero" and Museum of Art
The picture shows the "Vaquero", a polychrome fiberglass statue by Luis Jimenez, Jr. in front of the Museum of Art. It was on loan from 1998 to 2011 before it was sent to Arkansas. It is now part of the art collection of Walmart heiress Alice Walton. Luis Jimenez also created other sculptures in El Paso and is known worldwide. He died in 2006.
