Wedding party portrait of Arturo Medrano and Josephine (Josefina) Sanchez with their attendants. They were wed at El Paso's St. Patrick's Cathedral in April 1951. They met at El Paso High School. Arturo (Art) was the son of Manuel Medrano of Durango, Mexico and Irene (Yrinea) Navarro of Toluca de Lerdo, Mexico. Arturo was 1st cousin to Rosa Guerrero, who is a well known El Paso educator and teacher who is also documented in Digie. Their respective mothers were sisters. Josephine Sanchez was born in Morenci, AZ (1932) to Jose Andres Sanchez (a miner for Phelps Dodge) and Maria de Refugio Chavira, both of Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico.
